For some time I’ve wrestled with this average appetite
Not really sure I’ve been getting what I need to be fed
Then there’s those who seem to be all as advertised
I wonder if they just took what was offered instead
If they said I am not very interesting
I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m agreeing for a time
Until I hear their lives and their own narratives
Then instead of questioning mine, I realize
The pains of being average is more punk and true
Then a sad, then a sad and twisted storyline
Interesting is very uninteresting it is very interesting
Interestingly I’m not very interested to be very interesting

Recognizing the triad
A gangly, self-invented artist
ego-laden lad
She wondered how I could see
In the darkness up ahead
Fumbling for some words I said
I only see in infrared

Sat there for a moment
Semi in then thought about
